UPTOWN — After a series of delays, Lucky Mexican Restaurant and Bar is now open in Uptown.
Details have been scarce, but signs advertising the Mexican restaurant at 4116 N. Clark St. first appeared in early 2016. About two weeks ago, the restaurant advertised a grand opening in the space, via its Facebook page.
An owner for the restaurant could not be immediately reached.
In February of 2016, the awning of the former Pecking Order, a popular Filipino chicken restaurant, was repainted revealing the new name. Pecking Order, which was run by Chef Kristine Subido, closed in 2014 — about two years after it opened.
Lucky Mexican Restaurant and Bar is open from 5 p.m. - 2 a.m., according to its Facebook page.
