MAYFAIR — Our St. Patrick's Day gift to you: a look back at Conan O'Brien's 2012 visit to Chicago's Irish American Heritage Center.

The late night host poked fun at the center's abundance of bars — more than one per floor — mocked the bags of Taytos (not potato chips) for sale and memorably joined an Irish step dance class.

The center, O'Brien explained to his audience, used to be an elementary school.

"And now, instead of learning to read and write," he said, "the children are learning the valuable art of dancing without moving their arms."
