LOGAN SQUARE — Mi Tocaya Antjoeria, the first restaurant from acclaimed chef Diana Dávila, is gearing up to serve its first customers.

The cozy Mexican kitchen at 2800 W. Logan Blvd. is set to open at 5 p.m. Wednesday, said Dávila, who has been hard at work transforming the former home of Catalpa Kitchen into her dream restaurant since November.

On the menu is everything from charred butternut squash tacos and fish con mole verde to lamb barbacoa. The focus is antojos and antojitos, which Dávila described as Mexican-style tapas, but more meaningful. The restaurant will only be open for dinner.

The restaurant is lively with colorful tiles and murals, clay fixtures and pops of neon.
