LOGAN SQUARE — Get involved in maintaining a local park and visit the neighborhood's only church-turned-circus school later this month.

The Unity Park advisory council is throwing its first-ever spring fling from 5-6:30 p.m. March 25, at Aloft Circus Arts, a circus school that took over an old church at 3324 W. Wrightwood Ave.

The event is a way for neighbors to learn about the advisory council's upcoming schedule of events and check out the circus school.

There will be light appetizers, beverages, aerial performances and a raffle. At 6:15 p.m., folks behind the circus school will lead a guided tour of their facility, which opened last year.

Unity Park, 2636 N. Kimball Ave., was established in 1968, when neighbors banded together to convert an old parking lot into green space.

The event is free, but an RSVP is encouraged by emailing info@unityparkchicago.org.
