LOGAN SQUARE — U.S. Rep. Luis Gutiérrez (D-Ill.) is hosting a town hall meeting Monday evening at a local school, where he will take questions on the new administration.

Indivisible Humboldt-Logan, the local chapter of the national Indivisible movement, organized the meeting, which will kick off at 6:30 p.m. at Logandale Middle School, 3212 W. George St.

“Rep. Gutiérrez has been a great defender of immigrant and refugee rights and we're proud of that work. But we need him to do more," said Indivisible Humboldt-Logan co-chair Melanie Hoekstra in a prepared statement.

The group, which is made up of concerned citizens in both neighborhoods, was formed after Trump took office.
