4 Stores Robbed By Guy In 'Shoot Til My Arm Falls Off' T-Shirt, Police Say

LOGAN SQUARE — Police are searching for two men who robbed at least four Northwest Side stores at gunpoint during a two-hour spree early Saturday.

According to a police alert, the men went into each business, took out a handgun and then stole money before driving off in a dark-colored SUV. Two of the stores were 7-Elevens.

In the surveillance photos provided by police, one of the men is seen wearing a T-shirt that reads, "Shoot Til My Arm Falls Off." That's a phrase uttered once by basketball star Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors and later made into a T-shirt.

The robberies all occurred within a two-hour period early Saturday. Police said the men hit at least four neighborhoods across the Northwest Side, including Dunning, Logan Square, Irving Park and Avondale.

The robberies happened at:

  • 2:07 a.m. in the 6500 block of West Belmont Avenue
  • 2:55 a.m. in the 3200 block of West Diversey Avenue
  • 3:15 a.m. in the 4300 block of West Irving Park Road
  • 3:41 a.m. in the 3000 block of North Pulaski Road

Police describe one of the suspects as a white Hispanic man, between 18 and 40 years of age, between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-8, and weighing 170 to 200 pounds.

The other suspect was described as a white Hispanic man, between 18 to 40 years of age, between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-8, and weighing 130 to 150 pounds.
