MOUNT GREENWOOD — The search is on to crown a Royal Irish Canine ahead of the South Side Irish St. Patrick's Day Parade.

The Mount Greenwood Chamber of Commerce and Posh Pet Day Spa and Doggie Care are asking dog owners to submit pictures of their pets "showing their Irish spirit" via email by 5 p.m. March 2.

The winner will receive $100 and ride in the chamber's float on parade day. The annual march down Western Avenue will take place at noon March 12. The parade begins at 103rd Street in Beverly and travels down to 115th Street in Morgan Park.

Emails can be sent to Posh Pet at poshpet101@aol.com. The business can be found at 3514 W. 111th St. in Mount Greenwood. The winner will be notified March 3.
