UPTOWN — Sarah's Circle will host its 25th annual "Winter Walk: a Mile in Her Shoes" at 1 p.m. Sunday.

The walk, which is held every year in February "to highlight the reality of being without a home or shelter during Chicago's harsh winter months," will begin at Truman College, 1145 W. Wilson Ave.

During the walk, participants will be told stories of women who have overcome homelessness with the help of Sarah's Circle, a nonprofit with a mission of serving women who are homeless or in need of a safe space.

The walk will also end at the college, where participants will be treated to a free lunch of hot dogs, veggie dogs, chips, desserts and refreshments.
