LOGAN SQUARE — Yusho Logan Square is gearing up to host its version of a pig roast next month.

On March 5, the acclaimed Japanese eatery at 2853 N. Kedzie Ave. is offering a special five-course dinner with pork as the star.

The dinner, which begins at 5:30 p.m., is a tribute to the very last Tokugawa shogun Yoshinobu, who loved pork so much that he earned himself the nickname Tonichi-sama, which means "master no. 1 pig," according to Japan Times.

Tickets are $65 plus tax and fees and can be bought online.

The dinner is part of Folkart's Dinner With Friends series.

The menu, crafted by chefs Matthias Merges and Eric Lees, is as follows:

1st Course (snacks): tempura surf clam, unagi takoyaki, jellyfish spring roll, shime saba- koji pickle, kombu, oyster motoyaki

2nd Course: Charcuterie with umeboshi mustard, pickles, rice crackers, shaved 3-year-old Gunthorp ham, whipped miso rillettes, dashi headcheese terrine

3rd Course: Taiwanese dan dan noodles, pork belly, edamame, tian mian jian and do ban jian

4th Course: banana leaf wrapped pork shoulder bo-ssam, kimchi, sesame leaf, ginger, scallion

5th Course: Okinawa sweet potato soft serve, sesame dipped cone, matcha marshmallow, sudachi puree

Drinks are not included in the ticket price. Rare Japanese whiskey, craft cocktails and an exclusive wine pairing by Robert Houde will all be sold.
