CHICAGO — A shooting in Grand Boulevard killed Willie Shaw, 55, early Wednesday, officials said.
At 12:51 a.m., the man was in the 4500 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue when he got into a fight with a person, police said. The person took out a gun and fired shots.
The man was hit in his leg and taken to Stroger Hospital, police said.
Shaw, of the 4600 block of South Ellis Avenye, was pronounced dead at 1:31 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
