LOGAN SQUARE — Mezcaleria Las Flores has a brand new cocktail menu.

The mezcal bar at 3149 W. Logan Blvd. recently brought in acclaimed mixologist Caitlin Laman as beverage director. Originally from Portland, Laman has worked everywhere from uber popular Trick Dog in San Francisco to, most recently, Licorería Limantou in Mexico City.

She drew inspiration from her stint in Mexico City to craft Mezcaleria's cocktail list, which debuted Friday and includes 15 new drinks.

The list is full of mezcal-heavy creations, including one named "Bridges Not Walls," which contains Banhez mezcal, ancho chile, fresh strawberries, Thai basil and a squeeze of lime and quajillo salt on the rim.

The bar is donating $1 from every "Bridges Not Walls" cocktail sold to Darwin Elementary, 3116 W. Belden Ave., in Logan Square.
