DOWNTOWN — Here's a chance to see "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago P.D." filming Downtown.
"Chicago P.D." will film from 8 p.m. Monday to 6 p.m. Tuesday near The Drake Hotel. Parking will be closed on both sides of Walton Place between Michigan Avenue and a building at 176 E. Walton.
The Wednesday night NBC drama will also film along East Lake Shore Drive, and parking will be restricted on East Lake Shore between Michigan Avenue and 270 E. Lake Shore throughout the shoot.
Separately, "Chicago Fire" filming and associated parking restrictions will last nearly all day Tuesday near the Illinois Center on Michigan Avenue:

Like "Law & Order" and other Dick Wolf shows, "Chicago Fire" and "P.D." are often inspired by real events. "Chicago Fire" filmed a scene involving a bicyclist hit by a truck near the Illinois Center last fall.
