11 Wounded, 2 Fatally, In Shootings Since Friday Morning In Chicago

CHICAGO — Nine people were wounded and two killed in shootings in Chicago since Friday morning, police said.

Five people were shot, two fatally, in two separate incidents in Back of the Yards early Saturday morning.

In non-fatal shootings:

• Two teenage boys, 13 and 16, were shot while standing outside in Austin at 11:24 p.m. in the 5100 block of West Concord Place. The 13-year-old was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition after being shot in his chest. The older boy was also taken to Stroger after being shot in his leg.

•​ A 24-year-old man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center after being shot in his leg while in the 8300 block of South Winchester Avenue in Auburn Gresham at 8:56 p.m. He was in an alley when someone in a vehicle shot at him.

•​ A 23-year-old man was shot in his left calf during a robbery in the 300 block of East Kensington Avenue in West Pullman. He was taken to Christ following the 7:44 p.m. shooting.

•​ A 31-year-old man was shot in his chest while on a porch in the 1400 block of West 71st Street in West Englewood. A gunman walked up to him and shot at him. The victim was listed at Christ in critical condition after the 6 p.m. shooting.

•​ A 23-year-old man was grazed by a bullet in his left leg at 1 p.m. while walking down the street in the 800 block of West 76th Street in Auburn Gresham. He was taken to St. Bernard Hospital where he was in good condition.
