ALBANY PARK — Police are looking for suspects following two armed robberies on the Northwest Side.

In each attack, one or more men entered a business, pointed a weapon toward a store employee and stole items, police said in a community alert Thursday. It's not clear what type of weapon was used.

Both attacks happened Feb. 2, police said. The first occurred about 8:45 p.m. in the 4700 block of North Bernard Street. Thirty minutes later at 9:15 p.m., a store was robbed in the 3600 block of North Elston Avenue.

Police said they are looking for two black men in their 20s or 30s between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 and weighing between 190 and 200 pounds. The robbers wore black and grey hoodies, police noted. In surveillance photos released Thursday, it appears as if one man is wearing a black jacket with an orange t-shirt wrapped around his head.

Anyone with information should call Area North detectives at 312-744-8263 and reference case Nos. JA139692 and JA139731.
