NORTH CENTER — Half Acre is pouring free pints of Daisy Cutter this week, but there's a catch — you've got to give up food first.
The brewery is partnering with the Lincoln Square Friendship Center food pantry, collecting canned goods and other non-perishable items and rewarding donors with a free beer in return.
The event runs through Sunday at Half Acre's tap room, 4257 N. Lincoln Ave.
The Friendship Center, 2733 W. Lawrence Ave., serves an area bounded by Devon, Montrose, Ravenswood and California avenues.
