Police To Crack Down On Drunken Drivers In West Logan, Hermosa This Weekend

LOGAN SQUARE — Police will be on the lookout for drunken drivers in West Logan Square, Hermosa and Belmont Cragin this weekend.

Officers will saturate the Grand Central District from 7 p.m. Friday-3 a.m. Saturday to find drivers who are drunk, speeding or not wearing seat belts, according to a police alert.

A similar effort in the Ogden District on Feb. 10 and 11 netted a total of 68 tickets, including one for drunken driving, 28 for unsafe vehicles and nine for safety belt violations. Two vehicles were towed.
