CHICAGO — My Block, My Hood, My City needs more volunteers.

The group that takes at-risk teens from the South and West Sides of the city to other parts of the city to meet business owners, try new foods and experience new activities will host a meet-and- greet from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at DuSable Museum of African American History, 740 E. 56th Place.

Group founder Jahmal Cole said he's looking for volunteers to support the planning and chaperoning of the explorations, as well as those interested in volunteering for service projects and assisting in their fundraising and programming efforts.

"We are hoping each and every one of you will take the time to not only learn more about [the group], but also experience all that this great museum has to offer in celebration of Black History Month," Cole posted on Facebook. "There will be a guided tour of the museum after the Volunteer Meet & Greet at no cost to [the group's] volunteers."
