LINCOLN SQUARE — Bang Bang Pie, Spinning J's and Honey Butter Fried Chicken are among the bakeries and restaurants that have signed on to a fundraiser for Planned Parenthood of Illinois.

And they're rustling up money the old-fashioned way — with a bake sale.

Donors contribute by ordering a box of cookies, which will contain one treat from each of the 15 participating restaurants and sweet shops. The cost is $75, with 100 percent of proceeds going to Planned Parenthood of Illinois.

All orders must be placed online by Feb. 24 (click here). The cookie boxes are pickup only, from a location that's still to be determined, on March 11 and March 12.

Justin Behlke, culinary director and head of research and development at Kitsune and Elizabeth restaurants, helped organize the fundraiser.

Planned Parenthood was chosen as the beneficiary "because of the broad range of services they provide, the fact that they actively support immigrants, and because the organization and the work they do is under attack by our current administration," according to the event's website.

Here's the list of participants: Bad Hunter, Bang Bang Pie Shop, Cellar Door Provisions, Elizabeth, Elske, Floriole, Giant, Honey Butter Fried Chicken, Hoosier Mama Pie Company, Loba Pastry, Local Foods, Lula, Parachute, Pleasant House Bread and Spinning J's.
