CHICAGO — A 20-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in North Lawndale on Monday afternoon, police said.
At 4:50 p.m., the man was on a porch in the 1200 block of South Spaulding Avenue when two men walked up to him, said they were robbing him, took out a gun and fired shots, police said.
The man was hit in his stomach and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.
The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.
No one was in custody.
