CHICAGO — A 24-year-old man was shot and wounded near the border of North Center and Lincoln Park early Monday, police said.
At 1:23 a.m. Monday, the man was walking on the sidewalk in the 2000 block of West Diversey Avenue when someone in a gray car fired shots at him, police said.
The man's face was grazed by a bullet and a friend took him to Swedish Covenant Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.
The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.
No one was in custody.
