Meet Up With Neighbors Before Heading Downtown To Saturday's Women's March

NORTH CENTER — There's not only safety, but more fun in numbers.

Several meetup points have been arranged across the North Side by various groups in advance of Saturday's Women's March in Chicago.

Find the location nearest you:

• Irving Park Blue Line station, 8:45 a.m., platform, 4131 W. Irving Park Road. Marchers from Old Irving Park, Independence Park, West Walker and The Villa are gathering here. All are welcome. 

• The group Voice4Equality is meeting at Addison and Wolcott at 8 a.m. and heading to the Addison Brown Line station.

• Knit 1, 3856 N. Lincoln Ave., has been the Chicago "ally" of the national Pussyhat Project. Meet at the shop between 8 and 9 a.m. before heading to the Irving Park Brown Line station, 1814 W. Irving Park Road.

• A group dubbed "Potters Oppose Trump" is also gathering at the Irving Park Brown Line station, at 8:30 a.m. on the platform.

• North Park and Albany Park neighbors are meeting at the Kimball Brown Line station, with the time still  to be determined — either 8 a.m. or 9 a.m.

• Women & Children First, 5233 N. Clark St., is hosting a sign-making gathering at 8 a.m., with participants heading out at 8:45 a.m. for the Berwyn Red Line station.

• Common Cup, 1501 W. Morse Ave., is inviting folks from Rogers Park, Edgewater and Andersonville to swing by at 8 a.m., grab a cup of coffee and then head to the Morse Red Line station as a group.

• Rogers Park marchers can also meet at 8:30 a.m. at Jarvis Square, 1520 W. Jarvis Ave.

• Join the 49th Ward Democratic Party at 8 a.m., 1774 W. Greenleaf Ave.
