CHICAGO — Shootings have wounded five people since Friday, police said.

• At 11:10 p.m. Friday, a 23-year-old man was shot during a drug deal gone awry in North Lawndale, police said. The man was on the sidewalk in the 3900 block of West Grenshaw Street when another man in a vehicle pulled up to buy "possible narcotics," police said.

The man in the vehicle pulled out a gun and fired shots after the two argued about the authenticity of the money the man was using to buy the items, police said.

The 23-year-old was hit in the left knee and took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• A 23-year-old man who was possibly involved in a robbery in Back of the Yards was shot, police said.

The man took himself to Mercy Hospital at 5:45 p.m. after he was shot multiple times, and he was transferred to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said. Police are investigating if he was involved in a robbery that happened in the 4800 block of South Wolcott Avenue at 5:30 p.m.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

• At 1:30 p.m., three people were shot in the 3800 block of West Adams Street in West Garfield Park. Someone in a passing black SUV shot at the victims, police said.

A 26-year-old man was shot in his arm and foot, 19-year-old man was shot in his ankle and a 20-year-old man was shot in his leg. All three were sent to Stroger Hospital in good condition.

Two of the men were documented gang members, police said.
