Woman's racist tirade at Michaels captured on video
A woman apparently enraged by a suggestion she buy a larger grocery bag for her Michaels purchases unleashed her fury on two employees at the Lakeview store the day before Thanksgiving. Several customers in the store captured a video of the encounter, which went viral. One of the customers started a GoFundMe for the berated store manager, which raised more than $30,000 toward its $400 goal.
The woman accused a man of attacking her in Lakeview last week, but a friend of the former suspect said the allegations were untrue.
Pro-rape 'men's rights' group plans rally in Chicago ... but it gets canceled
A group of men's rights activists planned to visit the Far North Side in February as a way to "come out" proudly about the difficulties they face as men who both despise women, yet work tirelessly to get dates with them. After international uproar regarding the meetings, the local group canceled the event.
Movers hid woman in truck as armed ex searched for her at dental office in West Loop
In October, a trio of movers likely saved a woman's life by helping her hide in their truck while her armed ex looked for her at the West Loop dental office where she worked. The men were honored by the City Council in December.
Chicago's 10 oldest restaurants thrive by staying (mostly) the same
New restaurants rarely escape our attention at DNAinfo. But in the beginning of last year, we rounded up the city's oldest spots, like Bridgeport's Schaller's Pump, which has been serving customers since 1881.
YouTube stars move out after one day In Edgewater
Ah, who can forget Brianna and Jaelin? In August, the couple, both 18, moved out of Edgewater after one day due to a "traumatic experience," and explained the whole thing in a YouTube video that quickly went viral. Like the Michaels ranter, the couple ended up getting ripped by Chicagoans.
