Shootings Kill 2, Wound 4 Since Monday, Police Say

CHICAGO — Two people were killed and four others were wounded in shootings since Monday morning, police said.

• At 12:30 p.m. Monday, a 49-year-old man was shot dead in Bronzeville, police said.

• At 11:45 a.m., a 53-year-old man was shot dead in Roseland, police said.

In non-fatal shootings:

• At 5:52 p.m. Monday, a 24-year-old man was shot in Englewood, police said.

• At 3:57 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in Back of the Yards, police said.

• At 3:25 p.m., a 32-year-old man was shot in Auburn Gresham, police said.

• At 10:00 a.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in South Austin, police said.

He was in the area of Madison and Lavergne when he was shot, police said. He then went to the 5000 block of West Washington Boulevard and called for medical attention.

He was hit in his left ankle and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he is listed in good condition, police said.
