Man Charged In Shooting, Robbery Of North Lawndale Business Owner

CHICAGO — A man has been charged in the November shooting and robbery of a North Lawndale business owner.

Jeffery Randle, of the 1000 North block of North Harding Avenue, faces one felony count of armed robbery and one felony count of aggravated battery, police said.

On Nov. 13, Randle shot a 58-year-old business owner in the 3900 block of West Cermak Road while robbing him, police said.

The man was leaving his business at 9:30 p.m. when Randle and another man walked up to him and demanded his money, police said.

A scuffle ensued and Randle shot the business owner, police said. The victim was hit multiple times and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.
