IRVING PARK — Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson will be the guest speaker at Tuesday night's meeting of the Greater Independence Park Neighborhood Association.

The association is inviting residents of surrounding communities to attend Johnson's presentation, which is expected to focus on proposed changes to the police department's "use of force" policy.

A draft of the policy was shared online in October, and Johnson has been soliciting feedback, the deadline for which passed on Monday.

Johnson is scheduled to speak at 7 p.m., with the association's regular board meeting to follow at 8 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Independence Park fieldhouse, 3945 N. Springfield Ave.
