
CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man shot Thursday in Chicago Lawn has died, according to authorities.
At 2:09 p.m. Thursday, the man was outside in the 6300 block of South Kedzie Avenue when someone walked up and began firing before running away, police said.
He was struck in his head, chest and shoulder and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in grave condition, police said. He was pronounced dead at at 6:15 pm. Friday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
He has been identified as Carl A. Jones, who lived in the same block where he was killed, the medical examiner's office said.
