Snowcapped Mount Bridgeport: Sledders Bomb Neighborhood Hill [PHOTOS]

 Neighborhood folks took to the steep hill at Palmisano Park to enjoy the powder of the year's first big snow.

BRIDGEPORT — Sunday's big snowfall had many folks afraid to leave the house to deal with the wintry weather.

But some adventurers bundled up and dragged their sleds up the big hill at Palmisano Park — a place called "Mount Bridgeport."

As the Department of Streets and Sanitation deployed 210 snowplows to clear slush off the roads, shopkeepers shoveled sidewalks and neighborhood kids launched their sleds and snow tubes down the freshly powdered hill.

Moms and dads snapped photos of their children flying down the slope and assembling snowmen.
