ENGLEWOOD— A shooting in Englewood killed Thomas Smith, 24, on Friday, officials said.
At 1:51 p.m., the man was in the 7300 block of South Lowe Avenue when two people shot him while trying to rob him, police said.
The man, who was shot in the abdomen, was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Smith, of the 9600 block of South Dobson, was pronounced dead at 4:30 p.m., according to the Cook County Medcail Examiner's Office.
