LOGAN SQUARE — A 22-year-old woman was shot Thursday morning as she sat in a car in Logan Square, police said.

The woman was sitting in a car in the 2200 block of North Springfield Avenue at 2:12 a.m. when she noticed a crowd gathering nearby, police said.

She then heard shots, police said, and felt pain from gunshot wounds in her stomach and back.

Emergency crews took her to Stroger Hospital, where she was listed as “stable.”
