BRIDGEPORT — Santa has a new sleigh — and now you can hitch a ride with him to see Chicago's holiday lights.

Every Thursday through Jan. 1, Chicago Helicopter Experience will offer Holiday Lights tours in the company of Santa.

The ride costs $1,000 for up to five people to fly with Kris Kringle.

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer this first-to-market experience to Chicagoans and visitors to the city,” Trevor Heffernan, CEO of Chicago Helicopter Experience, said in a statement. “I can’t imagine anything more thrilling to do during the holidays than to actually ride along with Santa in his sleigh!”

The tours will give passengers panoramic views of the Chicago skyline. Here are some of the sights included on the tour:

Millennium Park glowing red and green for the holidays

Michigan Avenue with its strings of white lights

Lincoln Park's ZooLights

Regular Holiday Lights tours run daily from 5-9 p.m. out of the heliport at 2420 S. Halsted St. For a non-private tour, tickets are $178. Private tours are $228.
