DOWNTOWN — Now you can see the latest Apple Store work in less than two minutes.
The time-lapse video shot this week by Eric Stein shows a sped-up version of the massive construction project on the Chicago River.
Stein, who works on the 30th floor of a high-rise office tower across the river, also captured the night-time bustle of Michigan Avenue and setup for this weekend's Magnificent Mile Lights Festival.
Construction crews recently laid down the bones of a staircase that will take shoppers down to the new Apple Store being built on the Downtown riverfront. A new "Lights Lane Festival" on nearby Pioneer Court, 401 N. Michigan Ave., will open at 4 p.m. Friday in advance of Saturday's lights parade.
The video's cool. See for yourself.
