ROSCOE VILLAGE — As challenges go, standing still sounds less than, well, challenging.
And yet the Mannequin Challenge — videos of groups of people frozen mid-motion — have become the latest viral sensation.
High schoolers jump-started the trend, but it's since been appropriated by celebrities from Beyonce to Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles to Kardashian-adjacent Blac Chyna (in the delivery room, mic drop).
In the same week that the Cleveland Cavaliers recruited First Lady Michelle Obama for the team's mannequin effort, Lane Tech's boys basketball squad proved teens still got game, with their no-budget video more than holding its own against the pros.
