CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation is hosting its first Operation Santa fundraiser Tuesday night to benefit families of fallen and injured Chicago Police officers.

The fundraiser will take place at Lagunitas Brewing Company, 2607 W. 17th St., from 5:30-8:30 p.m., and will feature raffles, food and a cash bar. The foundation suggests a $10 minimum donation for the tickets, which can be bought online here.

All money raised at the event will go to the foundation's Operation Santa initiative, a two-day campaign that delivers gifts and Christmas cheer to the families of police officers who have been killed or severely injured in the line of duty.

On Dec. 10 and 11, Santa and Mrs. Claus will board a Secret Service Presidential limousine and travel in a police motorcade throughout Chicago delivering gifts to police families, according to foundation.

Last year, Operation Santa delivered presents to 21 families, the foundation said.
