HYDE PARK — Documentary filmmaker Sarah Price is coming to the University of Chicago on Saturday to show a peek at her follow-up to “American Movie” and “Summercamp!”.

At 7 p.m. Saturday Price will be at the Logan Center for the Arts, 915 E. 60th St., to talk about her films and her next project.

Price is best known for her work on “American Movie,” an oddball take on two men struggling to complete their low-budget horror movie, which won the grand jury prize for best documentary at the Sundance Film Festival in 1999.

She will talk with Jennifer Wild of the university’s department of cinema and media studies about her first major project since her documentary about kids at summer camp was produced in 2006.

The event is free and open to the public.
