West Chesterfield Shooting Leaves Taurus Williams, 41, Dead, Police Say

WEST CHESTERFIELD — A West Chesterfield shooting left a man dead on Monday, police said. 

At 8:02 a.m., officers responded to a traffic crash involving three cars in the the 10000 block was South Lafayette Avenue, police said. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a 41-year-old man was shot in the head, police said. The man had driven from 97th Street and Lafayette Avenue, where he was shot, police said.

Taurus Williams, 41, of the 300 block of West 100th Street, was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office at 8:46 a.m.
