NORTH CENTER — With the recent loss of Windy City Inn, Northcenter Neighborhood Association's annual pub crawl on Friday is perfectly timed to support the area's remaining bars, including some of the newest additions.

The crawl kicks off at 6 p.m. at Dovetail Brewery, 1800 W. Belle Plaine Ave., before moving on to Chicago Joe's, 2256 W. Irving Park Road, a neighborhood institution.

The evening will wrap up at the former Crabby Kim's, 3655 N. Western Ave., which was recently purchased by the owners of Big Hatt Gourmet, who are in the process of transforming the building into a new restaurant/bar.

This event is free for association members and $15 for non-members. Become a member at the door for $10 and save $5. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.

Proceeds will benefit Common Pantry food pantry.
