WICKER PARK —  Grab a Sharpie and head over to The Violet Hour, where a new mural encourages passersby to finish the sentence, "Hillary or else _____."

Since its completion early Monday, people have written a variety of responses on the exterior wall of  the cocktail lounge at 1520 N. Damen Ave. in Wicker Park.

"Canada," wrote Erin Sternberg, a Seattle resident who used to live in Wicker Park and was visiting friends in the area.

Sternberg said she is not totally serious about moving to Canada if Clinton's opponent Donald Trump gets elected in next month's presidential election.

Another person completed the sentence starter with "hell will freeze over."

Others ended the sentence with "Trump" and "Bust."

The new mural by an unnamed artist replaced another election-inspired mural by artist Jonathan Stein, which spelled out all of the letters of the alphabet except for t, r, u, m and p.

The Violet Hour, which opened in 2007 and traces its name to a T.S. Eliot poem, camouflages its facade and entry door with fresh artwork every six to eight weeks.

Previous murals have included a piece inspired by Chicago Ideas Week focused on visual brainstorming, a deer similar to Bambi, a twilight-hued nightclub scene, a "cow traffic jam" and abstract designs that have been the target of taggers, among others.

Last summer, Big Star's "Door Guy," who gets a front row view of the murals underway, ranked his top five walls.
