BUCKTOWN — The Bristol, a popular Bucktown restaurant that opened in 2008 along a stretch of Damen near the Kennedy Expressway, is one of 52 Chicago restaurants to make this year's Michelin Bib Gourmands list.
The award acknowledges restaurants that provide "quality food at a reasonable price."
The Bristol at 2152 N. Damen Ave. was previously on the list in 2014.
Last year, 58 restaurants made the cut.
Dos Urban Cantina at 2829 W. Armitage Ave. in Logan Square, and San Soo Gab San, which has locations at 5247 N. Western Ave. in Andersonville and in suburban Morton Grove, were all new to the list this year.
Other local standouts included The Angry Crab, which has a new spot at 1308 N. Milwaukee Ave.; Arami, a sushi restaurant at 1829 W. Chicago Ave.; Cumin, a modern Nepalese and Indian eatery at 1414 N. Milwaukee Ave.; Dove's Luncheonette, a diner at 1545 N. Damen Ave.; the vegetarian-focused Mana Food Bar, 1742 W. Division St.; Asian-inspired Mott Street Chicago, 1401 N. Ashland Ave.; and TWO, a farm-to-fork seasonal cuisine restaurant at 1132 W. Grand Ave.
Recipients of the coveted Michelin stars will be announced next week.
