THE LOOP — Police say these people are beating and mugging women as they walk alone in the Loop at night.

Police shared photos of the suspects Wednesday after revealing the pattern of night-time muggings Downtown last week.

In each case, the group of five to eight people has attacked the victims from all fronts before taking their backpacks, tablets, cellphones, and other valuables, police said.

Specifically, police said a woman mugger hits the victims — all women — in the head before her accomplices kick and beat them.

The robberies occurred at:

• 9 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of North Michigan Avenue

• 9:12 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of East Randolph Street

• 10 p.m. Wednesday in the first block of East Van Buren Street

Anyone with information on the crimes is asked to call police at 312-747-8384.
