THE LOOP — A group of robbers are mugging women as they walk the Loop alone at night, police said.

In each case, the group of five to eight people attacks the victims from all fronts before taking their backpacks, tablets, cellphones, and other valuables, police said.

Specifically, police said a woman mugger hits the victims — all women — in the head before her accomplices kick and beat them.

The robberies occurred at:

• 9 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of North Michigan Avenue

• 9:12 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of East Randolph Street

• 10 p.m. Wednesday in the first block of East Van Buren Street

Anyone with information on the crimes is asked to call police at 312-747-8384.
