WRIGLEYVILLE — Worried about rain, Major League Baseball moved the start time for Wednesday's Game 2 of the World Series.
First pitch will be around 6:08 p.m. Central Time, one hour earlier than the original start time.
Cleveland has an 80 percent chance of rain Wednesday.
Game 2 will take place in Cleveland on Wednesday, but Chicago fans can expect some showers as well. There's a 90 percent chance of rain in Chicago for Wednesday, with strong winds and a low of 46 degrees.
The World Series will resume Friday at Wrigley Field, with Games 4 and 5 set for Saturday and Sunday as necessary. Currently, rain is not expected this weekend in Chicago.
Save for additional time changes, games will start at 7:08 p.m.
The Cubs and Wrigley Field are 95 percent owned by an entity controlled by a trust established for the benefit of the family of Joe Ricketts, owner and CEO of DNAinfo.com. Joe Ricketts has no direct involvement in the management of the iconic team.
