LINCOLN SQUARE — The best laid plans of brides and grooms across Chicago were hit with a major wrinkle over the weekend when their big day coincided with the Cubs even bigger day.

We came across this wedding party posing for photos Saturday in picturesque Giddings Plaza, where one of Lincoln Square's omnipresent street musicians serenaded the happy couple with an impromptu rendition of "Go Cubs Go."

The newlyweds and their attendants gamely sang along before taking the celebration elsewhere.

The Cubs, you may have heard, went on to defeat the Dodgers for their own fairytale ending.

If you know these crazy kids, tell them congrats — and make sure they don their clearly lucky attire Tuesday night.
