CHICAGO — A Friday night shooting in Woodlawn wounded a 35-year-old man, police said.

At 5:50 p.m., the man was standing in front of a home in the 6100 block of South Evans Avenue when someone fired shots at him, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was hit in his leg and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," Lemmon said.
