By Kelly Bauer | October 19, 2016 8:41am

CHICAGO — A shooting just blocks from President Barack Obama's Kenwood home left a 29-year-old man wounded Tuesday, police said.

At 7:30 p.m., a 29-year-old man was driving in the 4600 block of South Greenwood Avenue when he was shot in his head, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. That's just blocks from Obama's home in the 5000 block of South Greenwood Avenue.

The man took himself to University of Chicago Medical Center, Amezaga said. His condition was not immediately available.

He is a documented gang member, police said.

No one was in custody.
