CHICAGO — A man shot in 1987 has died from his injuries, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Anthony L. Banks, 52, died at his home in the 3800 block of South State Street in Douglas on Sept. 30, the medical examiner said.
An autopsy has determined that the man died from "complications of [a] remote gunshot wound," the medical examiner ruled, and his death has been ruled a homicide.
Banks was shot in 1987, the medical examiner said.
