LOGAN SQUARE — Calling all aspiring chefs: Furious Spoon is hosting a series of classes on how to make ramen noodles.

The classes, held at the Logan Square location, 2410 N. Milwaukee Ave., will center on the "ins and outs of everything ramen," according to the restaurant. They will led by Furious Spoon chef and Michelin star recipient Shin Thompson.

There are four class dates from which to choose: Oct. 22, Oct. 23, Nov. 12 and Nov. 13, each from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. An individual ticket costs $95 tax and fees.

Thompson will begin each class (limited to 8 people per session) by giving a brief history on ramen noodles and sharing information about his background. (His grandfather owned a "modest" ramen shop in Japan in the 1960s.)

Then, Thompson will teach the class how to roll and cut noodles on an imported Japanese noodle machine and how to make ramen at home.

The cost of the class includes lunch (ramen, side dish and one cocktail.) Class-goers will also get to take home their own kit of noodles, broth recipe and toppings.

Furious Spoon made headlines recently for buying notorious dive bar Two Way Lounge.
