CHICAGO — Police are warning of a string of robberies on CTA Blue Line trains and at stations.
During three of the robberies, the victims were riding on a train when the thieves hit the victims and then took things from the victims' pockets, according to a Chicago Police community alert.
In a fourth robbery, the thieves grabbed a victim on the CTA platform and stole things from the man's pockets, police said.
The robberies occurred:
• 3 a.m. Sept. 19 in the 500 block of South Pulaski Road
• 9:30 p.m. Oct. 3 in the 500 block of South Pulaski Road
• 12:30 a.m. Oct. 7 in the 500 block of South California Avenue
• 5:10 a.m. Oct. 9 in the 500 block of South Pulaski Road
The thieves were described as a 6-foot black man with dreadlocks, a 30- to 40-year-old black man who was 5-foot-9 and 160-170 pounds, and a 6-foot-2 black man, police said.
