MAYFAIR — Enjoy Sunday's annual classic car show at Marie's Pizza while you can, because who knows whether "classic cars" will exist in the future.

Picture a '57 Chevy. Now picture a Toyota Camry.

See what we mean?

Today's generic sedans and minivans might deliver reliability, but they're woefully short on personality, to say nothing of tail fins.

All of this leads us to wonder, what will collectors flock to 20, 40 or 50 years from now? Which recent or current models will have lasting appeal?

Car and Driver and Road and Track have given this some thought. So has Britain's The Telegraph.

Among their future classics: the original Audi TT, the Saab 900 Turbo, the Dodge Viper and the Volvo V60 Polestar.

What, no Honda Accord?

Marie's classic car show is scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, 4129 W. Lawrence Ave. Rain date: Oct. 16.
