LINCOLN SQUARE — Schools in Lincoln Square and North Center remain among the top performers in the district, according to the latest school quality ratings released by Chicago Public Schools.

Under a system that assigns schools one of five ratings —from Level 3 (requiring intensive support) to Level 1+ (in good standing) — the vast majority of neighborhood schools received the top Level 1+, in a repeat from 2015.

Budlong Elementary, 2701 W. Foster Ave., showed the greatest change, leapfrogging from Level 2+ to Level 1+.

The ratings take into account a variety of achievement and growth measurements, including attendance, test scores and whether a school is considered "well organized."

Here's how each school fared. We've included links to schools' 2015 reports; 2016 aren't yet available:

Elementary Schools

Audubon, Level 1+, no change from 2015.

Bell, Level 1+, no change from 2015.

Budlong, Level 1+, jump from 2+ in 2015.

Chappell, Level 1+, no change from 2015.

Coonley, Level 1+, no change from 2015.

Jahn, Level 2, report not found for 2015; the school was Level 2 in 2014.

McPherson, Level 1, no change from 2015.

Ravenswood, Level 1+, no change from 2015.

Waters, Level 1+, no change from 2015.

High Schools

Alcott, Level 1+, no change from 2015.

Amundsen, Level 1, no change from 2015

Lane Tech, Level 1+, no change from 2015.
